When it debuted for the 2014 model year, the BMW i8 wowed us with its carbon-fiber construction, swing-up doors and its high-performance plug-in hybrid powertrain. It was BMW's showcase for maximizing performance while simultaneously minimizing environmental impact. Five model years later, BMW has rolled out an updated 2019 BMW i8 that features improved hybrid power components as well as a new convertible model called the i8 Roadster.
The 2018 Nissan Kicks just made its world debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. A subcompact crossover, the Kicks will be similar in size to rivals such as the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3 and Toyota C-HR. Even though prices aren't set just yet, we're assured it will be competitive within this class. In all likelihood, that means it will start in the low $20,000s for the base Kicks S model. Other trim levels will include an SV and SR.
