When it debuted for the 2014 model year, the BMW i8 wowed us with its carbon-fiber construction, swing-up doors and its high-performance plug-in hybrid powertrain. It was BMW's showcase for maximizing performance while simultaneously minimizing environmental impact. Other trim levels will include an SV and SR.

This week, ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show, Lincoln Motor Company president Kumar Galhotra confirmed that the MK names are indeed going away across the lineup with the MKX set to become the Nautilus starting with the 2019 model year.

The QX50 adds to Infiniti’s already robust SUV lineup, but the newest version features the first production-ready example of Infiniti’s new, variable compression ratio engine, better known as the VC-Turbo.

2018 Jeep Wrangler sheds pounds, increases tech

The All New Jeep Wrangler that will be unveiled Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show is the familiar, boxy, seven slot-grille descendent of the World War II Willys Jeep. But underneath, the Wrangler has been upgraded to a thoroughly 21st century machine with an available, hybrid, turbocharged powertrain, large touchscreen console display and 200-pound weight-loss program.
